Jacqueline Nims Phelan is an experienced Museologist with international private museum collection expertise. Responsible for all Museum Collections areas, she has deep experience in Collection Acquisition, Management and Curation; Exhibit Design, Construction and Installation as well as Collection media promotion and commentary.
She was the Curator & Director of Acquisitions for the international Fashion Cafe Museum collections, responsible for all their fashion museum collections displayed in their worldwide locations including NYC, London, Barcelona, Mexico City, Jakarta & Manila.
Experienced in both historic renovation as well as new builds for exhibit spaces, she curated diverse collections that received major media attention. Notable acquisitions included fashion icon pieces such as Princess Diana's dresses, luxurious couture such as Vivienne Westwood's Martyr to Love jacket and numerous movie and celebrity-worn pieces like Sean Connery's Armani suit from "The Untouchables."
She holds a Master of Arts in Museum Studies from the State University of New York at the Fashion Institute of Technology (NYC), as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art History from Southern Methodist University (TX).
